Module Solar AG

Module Solar AG will act as a co-investor in the Russian Government supported project aimed at production of nano-heterostructure photoconverters with the efficiency reaching 37-45%. Solar modules and new generation power plants, equipped with Fresnel lenses and sun tracking system will also be produced under the auspices of the project. The Supervisory Council of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (RUSNANO) officially confirmed its co-investment in the project on December 11th 2009. Rusnano is highly interested to act as a co-investor in this project due to the facts that concentrator technologies are more efficient than silicon based solar technologies and provide the great cost effectiveness in the long term.

Danish nanophysicists have developed a new method for manufacturing the cornerstone of nanotechnology research -- nanowires. The discovery has great potential for the development of nanoelectronics and highly efficient solar cells.
